Immediate Media has appointed Tony Macklin to the position of director of product development and strategy, who began his role on 23 July 2012.
Macklin has spent more than 20 years in a range of senior product and marketing roles, focusing on building both new and established digital businesses. Since 2009, he has been VP product http://www.ancestry.com, based in San Francisco, USA. Prior to this, he held roles in brand management at Proctor & Gamble, and product management at Intuit. He launched http://www.moneyextra.com/ and served on the senior UK executive teams of Ebay and Ask.com.
Reporting to CEO Tom Bureau, Macklin will now be responsible for the on-going development of Immediate Media's digital platforms, building out the product and development teams, and working with the senior management team on cross media brand strategy.
